Job Description & Offer

Do you love sports, community life, and making a difference in children's health and well-being?

Are you driven, engaged, and want to build bridges between schools, children, and the sports movement?

Then we have the dream job for you!

We are now looking for a Sports Consultant with a passion for creating long-term collaborations and inspiring Stockholm's schools and sports clubs in our important work with the Movement Initiative in schools.

The Movement Initiative in schools is a government assignment aimed at improving public health, well-being, and academic results among children. We do this by building bridges between schools, children, and community sports. The initiative targets all children in grades F–9, but especially those who are least active.

The initiative is led by the Swedish Sports Confederation (RF) and our 19 districts, while the sports (special sports federations) contribute knowledge, materials, and inspiration. Through collaboration, we create conditions for more children to experience the joy of movement and have an active leisure time in clubs.

Research shows that only 44 percent of boys and 22 percent of girls reach the recommended level of 60 minutes of physical activity per day – we want to change that!

As a Sports Consultant within the Movement Initiative in schools, you will have a unique opportunity to work with an initiative that makes a real difference in children's lives and futures. You will become a key person in coordinating, developing, and following up on efforts that give more children the opportunity for joyful movement both in and outside of school.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Support and develop collaboration between schools and sports clubs to increase children's opportunities for movement during and after school hours.
  • Plan, implement, and follow up on initiatives within the Movement Initiative in collaboration with colleagues, schools, and clubs.
  • Create networks and meeting places that enable good collaboration between schools, community sports, and other actors.
  • Educate and inspire by leading processes, conducting training, and folk education initiatives that contribute to long-term work with physical activity in schools.
  • Analyze and develop the work based on the needs of schools and clubs.

We offer you an independent, meaningful, and creative job where you, together with an engaged team, can contribute to a stronger, healthier, and more enjoyable sports community.

Candidate Profile

You are an engaged, positive, and flexible person who has a big heart and is passionate about making a difference for children's and youth's health. You are solution-oriented, curious, and enjoy creating relationships and building collaborations. Your joy of life and engagement are contagious, and you have the ability to both lead and listen.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience from the sports movement, community life, schools, or working with children and youth.
  • Is a good communicator and relationship builder.
  • Has experience working independently and leading projects.
  • Is administratively skilled and familiar with digital tools.
  • Has an education in sports, pedagogy, or equivalent experience.
  • A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous but not required.

With us, all employees have two wellness hours a week and wellness benefits! We are a supportive and positive team where you have room to grow. We have a collective agreement through Unionen.
